Production Manager required for a busy fabrication company based near Kells Co. Meath.
The ideal candidate will (among other things):
Communicate directly with all departments in the production of units and the management of the manufacturing operations, ensuring that all products are produced to the required quality standard, within scheduled time and strict delivery dates.
Liaise directly with contractors both for onsite and offsite works.
Organise weekly production meetings with heads of all departments to ensure production scheduling operates seamlessly for the week ahead including offsite works.
Monitor stock of raw material and in conjunction with the Purchasing Manager and stores manager, initiating reordering when necessary based on specs to the floor.
Implement Continuous Improvements in processes and problem solving within the manufacturing operations.
Manage personnel ensuring they are adequately trained, equipped, and motivated.
Ensure Health & Safety standards are adhered to and promoted.
Maintain safety, health, and environmental policies and procedures.
Promote a safety-first culture, quickly identify & resolve any safety hazards.
Report/Document accidents/incidents/ observations
Produce end of week Production Reports covering WIP for the week and scheduling of work for the week ahead.
Initiate, implement, and manage the operations of the manufacturing facility based on best practices.
Monitor key production metrics such as throughput, production schedule compliance, final quality control checks etc and initiate stronger efficiency plans where required.
Provide ongoing training and development of department personnel.
Conduct employee performance reviews and quantify their contribution to production output.

A Process Engineering / Mechanical Engineering degree or similar qualification.
Previous use of ERP Systems is advantageous and strong knowledge base in the Microsoft Office applications.
A proven track record of strong organisational skills, ability to prioritise tasks, adapt to changing priorities, deliver on targets and meet task / project deadlines.
A strong business acumen and Lean Management Skills.
A positive and flexible attitude and self-starting ability.
Strong interpersonal skills, provide leadership and motivation to create a strong team culture within the production department and drive a culture of Continuous Improvement within the department .
The capability of understanding the underlying processes across the full remit of the role.
