Senior Design Draftsperson – Co. Meath
An established engineering company based near Dunshaughlin, Co. Meath is seeking an experienced Senior Design Draftsperson to join our growing team.
In this role, you will produce high-quality layouts, detailed drawings, and fabrication packages for mining and heavy-industry projects. You’ll work closely with structural, civil (concrete), and mechanical engineers from initial concept right through to construction.
The ideal candidate will:
• Hold a relevant qualification from a University or College in Ireland or the UK
• Have at least 7 years’ experience in structural drafting (experience in mining/heavy industry is an advantage)
• Be able to interpret engineering plans and produce accurate technical drawings
• Develop general arrangements, detailed drawings, and fabrication packages for structural steel and concrete works
• Translate engineering intent into buildable, standards-compliant deliverables
• Work to project schedules while maintaining quality and traceability
• Apply and help refine client and internal drafting standards
• Be highly proficient in Autodesk AutoCAD and Revit or Advance Steel
• Coordinate across disciplines and manage revisions, redlines, and as-builts
• Demonstrate strong 3D modelling skills and a commitment to continuous improvement
• Possess excellent attention to detail, organisational, and communication skills
• Work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
